Percy Lord. Son of John Shaw Lord and Arabella Lord of Melton Mowbray, grandson of Joseph and Emma Jane Lord. His wife was Mabel Lord of Bradley Hall, Bradley, Alton, Staffordshire. He died of pneumonia 28 Oct 1918 (aged 32) while serving with 57th Auxiliary Petrol Company, Army Service Corps. He was buried in the Communal Cemetery in Biganos, a small town near Bordeaux.
Neville Northover. Neville Evelyn Northover, was born Poole, Dorset about 1892, the son of Edward and Henrietta Northover, of Nelson House, Southsea, Hants. In 1911 he was a 'farm pupil' with Thomas & Mary Lord at Eastern House, Hough. 2nd Lt Northover was killed 4th Sep 1918 whilst serving with the Wiltshire Regiment, attached to the Hampshire Yeomanry. He was buried at Voormezeele, near Ypres. He is commemorated on both the Hough on the Hill and Honington war memorials.
