This area is being targeted by wind farm companies. Despite the modest wind speeds they think they can force through wind farm applications and lock-into the current sky-high subsidies before they are abolished.
Individual applications may only attract the attention of nearby residents, perhaps only a small village. But the latest applications are for turbines more than 400ft high, which would be visible 20 miles away.
